The VPM Approach To Racking

The VPM Approach To Racking

Here at VPM Racking, we offer a whole life approach to all of your pallet racking projects. From the initial surveys and designs, through to the ongoing maintenance of your racking system when it’s been installed, we can provide assistance throughout every step of the process. Here’s a little more information about our process:

Step One: Site Survey

First, we’ll come to your premises and conduct a thorough survey. We’ll take a look at your existing racking (if any), and analyse the space in which we have to work. This is one of the most important parts of the process, as it gives us more detail about the limitations of the space, and what we have to work with.

Step Two: Layout Design

Once we’ve conducted a comprehensive survey of your site, we’ll start drawing up the suggested layout. This part of the process can take some time, and it may involve numerous different suggestions and drafts before we come up with the solution that best fits your business. Rest assured that our team will make every effort to ensure they’re catering to your exact needs when designing your pallet racking layout.

Step Three: Specification and Drawings

This is where the plans are confirmed, and we start to get into the nitty-gritty of how we’ll install the racking system in your workplace. Every millimetre will be accounted for as we draw up comprehensive blueprints that will guide our installation team on the day.

Step Four: Supply From Our Existing Stock

At VPM Racking, our racking solutions are more budget-friendly than many others in the industry, purely because we have access to an enormous range of used stock. We leverage second-hand racking to provide you with a space-saving, highly efficient solution that won’t break the bank.

We stock huge quantities of used pallet racking from some of the leading manufacturers in the industry, including Dexion, Link 51 Apex Linvar and PSS. When you choose VPM, you’ll be choosing high-quality, flexible systems at lower prices.

Step Five: Installation

The installation of your pallet racking system will be carried out at a time which best suits you. You might need to close the warehouse for a period of time while the installation is carried out, but our team will do their utmost to ensure the process causes as little disruption to your business as possible.

Step Six: Safety Inspections

As your pallet racking supplier, we’re always on hand to carry out full safety inspections once your system is up and running. We can help you to draw up inspection plans of your own, as well as offering safety advice on every aspect of your pallet racking system.

Step Seven: Ongoing Repairs

Repairs and maintenance are also a big part of our business. We recognise that second-hand systems may require a little more attention to keep them in prime condition, and we’re always on hand to carry out urgent repairs or schedule maintenance within your premises.
